Local hospitals are running out of face masks and hospital gowns, critical protective materials that serve as the only barrier between sick/ill patients and the still healthy doctors and nurses. In one hospital alone they go through and use 10,000 masks and gowns a day! Due to the nationwide demand there is now a shortage and hospital officials are getting desperate because SOMETHING is better than nothing!
R. Jeffery Diduch, a Senior Executive at a manufacturing facility, is spear-heading and coordinating a work-from-home network to source, sew, and deliver homemade face masks and hospital gowns in the greater Rochester, New York area because, in part, the factory alone cannot meet the enormous demand and sheer volume of masks and gowns required – help is needed!
